Twirling Wave

Original abstract painting on stretched canvas measuring 90 x 60 cm.

Being from Denmark myself, I feel very connected to the ocean and made this painting with the idea of being in the midst of an oceanic whirlpool.

I used silver foil flake embellishments which makes a very interesting addition to the surface structure and which captivates the feeling of sunlight reflecting off of the breaking waves. Additionally I’ve added streaks of sand and tiny pebbles from a Danish beach which adds to the authenticity and feeling of being by the sea.
